Born in 1996 in Upper Austria, Michael started his musical career early on when he began producing his own music with the age of 12. With the ambition to turn his "hobby" into a profession, he went to university to study Audio Engineering.

After graduating from FH Salzburg in 2019, Michael established his own business as a freelance mixer.
2 years later he started working as an assistant engineer at Sunshine Mastering, a very prominent mastering studio located in Vienna.

In recent years Michael Höchtl has not only worked with gold and platinum award-winning producers and artists, but has also contributed to internationally successful records, with one reaching #2 on the airplay charts in Germany in 2022.

Michael always strives to enhance songs sonically and emotionally whilst retaining the artists' creative vision.
